Students are reminded once again about their upcoming test on Thursday.  It will be an unseen selection relating to the thematic unit on Human Conflict and Struggle.  Remember to review the selections completed and know the titles as you may be asked to write a comparison answer. (Examples in the questions completed.)  Students are reminded that the test starts early for everyone, if you feel you need extra time.  We will begin at recess; those who are pathway 2 should bring their lunch in case they need extra time above and beyond the recess time.  STUDENTS HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE TEST AND TIME FOR A WEEK NOW.

HOMEWORK FOR NEXT CLASS:  Complete the first two questions on the poem, "Dover Beach" on page 71.  Students should have the hand-out.  If absent, the questions are: 
1.  Identify the dominant mood at the beginning of stanza one.  What creates this initial mood; use specific examples from the dramatic monologue.
2.  Identify the mood at the end of stanza one.  At what point in the stanza does the mood change to this one?  Use specific references to the poem to support your answer.
